How To Dispose of Your Spell Packaging
Packaging Disposal Guide
Mailing Satchel
Your orders are shipped in FSC certified recycled paper mailing satchels. No trees were harmed in the making of these mailers—Using 100% post-consumer recycled paper reduces our demand for virgin resources. The satchels are reusable, thanks to the tear-away flap and extra adhesive strip. Just cover the old label with a new one, reseal the flap and its ready for its next journey. This packaging is biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable, so it is easily disposed of once its worn out! Just tear up and mix through your compost or drop straight into your kerbside recycling bin.
Garment Bags
We send our garments in biodegradable poly bags. Place them in your council compost bin for industrial composting or landfill bin. We recommend finding ways to extend the life of your garment poly bag…use it to bring your wet swimmers home from the beach, or slip your gym clothes into it after your workout. It may be surprising how many different lives a simple poly bag can live!
Garment Tags
They're made from 100% recycled paper and are recyclable. Some people collect their tags to include when re-selling or swapping their garments.
Roll-Packaging
The most sustainable packaging is no packaging at all. So we have introduced this method for some of our more durable garments, like our denim. You will receive these garments rolled up and tied with a jute string. Keep the string in your craft kit, it may come in handy the next time you’re wrapping a gift!
Micro-Pak Dri Clay Kraft Desiccant
We have retired the old silica gel desiccant and are now using a natural, plastic-free and biodegradable desiccant made from bentonite clay and packaged in FSC certified Kraft paper. This version of desiccant is beneficial, with a low energy, zero water and chemical production process. Desiccants are included in your order to absorb moisture and protect the integrity of each garment. They're highly affective at what they do, so repurpose them by popping them in your jewellery boxes (to prevent tarnishing), drop them into your leather boots between wears or with any items you may have in storage. Otherwise, dispose of them thoughtfully in your everyday rubbish bin.
