Nasi Tékor Badak is a purpose driven restaurant with a heartfelt mission to preserve sustainable Balinese lifestyle and culture, known as the Tri Hita Karana concept. This vision is beautifully woven into every aspect of the restaurant, from its culinary concept and its interior design and is also reflected in its educational initiatives and authentic experiences offered.
Combining traditional and modern elements, the Nasi Tékor Badak is inspired by its origins in the Kertalangu Cultural Village, where, in the past, the market was a means of interaction, a center for education, culture and art. The restaurant embraces a traditional approach to cooking, utilizing open fire and eschewing modern equipment or electricity, allowing diners to connect with the way food was once prepared. Located in the heart of Denpasar, Nasi Tékor Badak invites you on a nostalgic journey through culinary history. Their motto, “Processed from the Past, Taste of the Present, Culinary of the Future,” captures the essence of their mission.

Silversmithing is a cherished trade in Bali, with a history that spans centuries. This craft has been lovingly passed down through generations, allowing Balinese silversmiths to draw deeply from their rich cultural heritage. Their designs often incorporate elements of Hindu mythology, nature, and everyday life, resulting in intricate patterns and symbolic motifs that tell meaningful stories. Each finely crafted piece serves to preserve and celebrate the island’s cultural narrative with many artisans also offering workshops where we can learn the art.
